Clothes today are generally different from the clothes of the 1800s in the way they look and the cloth they are made from. For example, in the 1800s all women wore dresses with long skirts. But today they wear short skirts. Sometimes they wear pants. In the 1800s, clothes were made from cotton, wool, silk or linen. Today, there are many kinds of man made cloth.
